In this regard, the designer has specially carried out some analysis conclusions, and the control of gear heat treatment deformation has become especially important.

Control gear heat treatment deformation:

The surface of the gear coupling needs to be carburized or tempered. Due to the different methods of carburizing, the hardness of the tooth surface is different. Gas carburizing is a kind of carburizing operation process in which the workpiece is put into a closed carburizing furnace, and the gas carburizing agent (methane, ethane, etc.) or liquid carburizing agent (kerosene or benzene, alcohol, acetone, etc.) is inserted, and activated carbon atoms are decomposed at high temperatures and infiltrated into the surface of the workpiece to obtain a high-carbon surface layer. Solid carburizing is an early carburizing method in which the workpiece and the solid carburizing agent (composed of charcoal additive) are packed together in a closed carburizing box, and the box is heated in the heating furnace to the carburizing temperature, and the holding time is used to make active carbon atoms permeate the surface of the artificial part.

Gear coupling on the analysis of the gear carburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding had each, carburizing deformation is large, and the change rule of randomness is big, not easy to control, and carburized surface strength has greatly improved the day after tomorrow, but the surface compressive stress is small, to increase the shot blast, so increased the workpiece surface stress, often cause surface micro cracks appear, and reduce the tooth surface precision; The advantages of nitriding treatment are large surface compressive stress, good, small deformation, but the infiltration layer, low bearing capacity, brittle fatigue strength is not as high as carburizing; Common carbonitriding is prone to black structure, the performance of the whole material deteriorates, and the use has limitations. After a variety of process comparison, there is a high temperature carburizing, direct quenching process after carbonitriding, heat treatment of gear, the effect is good. The gear deformation is reduced, the common normal deformation is also reduced, the tolerance is basically stable within, the manufacturing cycle is significantly shortened, the cost is saved, and the material properties of the heat treatment are good, and meet the design requirements.
