2. Low-speed, heavy-load applications where couplings are not required for centering
In some places, although the speed is low and the load is heavy, the impact and vibration are relatively small. Couplings are only used to transmit torque and do not need to be used to fix the center position. For instance, the CL type coupling can adopt clearance fit. It neither affects usage nor brings convenience to the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
3. In situations where there is impact or vibration but flexible grips can be used
For some situations where the torque is not large, the impact and vibration are relatively severe, but flexible connectors can be used, clearance fits can also be adopted. At this point, the vibration and impact generated between the shaft extension and the coupling can be detected by the elastic device in the middle. If disassembly is required, it does not need to be carried out with great effort.
In conclusion, for all couplings that transmit torque by keys, as long as they do not affect usage, transition or clearance fits can be adopted. This will bring convenience to the maintenance and installation of the equipment.
