Universal coupling bolt selection and coupling external tooth height

Design and working principle of gear coupling:

The gear coupling is transmitted by the inner tooth and the outer tooth matching, so the height of the inner tooth and the outer tooth depends on the torque force transmitted by the coupling. Standard for the height of the inner gear ring of the coupling:

The height of the inner gear ring of the coupling can not be modified at will, mainly because the travel of the gear shaper is limited, the height of the inner gear ring is too high, which will cause the bed to dry, and it will be processed in the larger gear shaper. It affects the work efficiency and increases the cost price. Coupling factory designers have given a clear standard for this, the height of the inner tooth ring of the coupling shall not be higher than 80, and only limited to gear couplings with an outer diameter of 300 or less. The inner gear ring with an outer diameter of more than 300 will have a gland. In this case, the gland can be removed first and processed by wire cutting to replace the operation of the gear shaper.

Bolt selection for universal coupling:

Universal coupling is to use bolts and self-locking nuts to connect the two ends of the flange to other mechanical components, and the transmission moment is transmitted by the end key of the flange and the friction between the flanges. The bolt can only be placed from the flange side matching with the coupling, the nut is tightened by the flange side of the universal coupling, the mechanical properties of the bolt shall meet the GB3098.1 level 10.9, the mechanical properties of the nut shall meet the GB3098.4 level 10 provisions. This is a good way to link the coupling.
